I love a good quote as you know, but there’s one I keep avoiding,
“If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. Then quit. No use being a damn fool about it.”
W C Fields
Winners never quit was the phrase out of my youngest mouth at the weekend when I suggested that maybe we might move on from the monkey bars, which were so high I could barely lift her on! Never mind try to help her swing from one tiny ring to another.
So do winners never quit? or Should you know when to quit?
Or does it depend on what you’re trying to succeed at? I think maybe it does.
When it comes to writing, painting or aiming high in a sport for example I think so long as you’re enjoying it, then keep going! Winners never quit. 🙂
However if it’s something that you no longer enjoy or is causing you financial hardship then maybe W C Fields is right.
What do you think?
