All The Best Laid Plans…

Tea and Cake

Well I think every plan I’ve had this week has gone awry, with one thing or another cropping up, but we’re nearly there with only six more sleeps until the big day! Are you ready? I’m not sure I am, ask me again next week!

The poem below was sent to me by a family member wondering if I’d like to include it in a post, well it made me chuckle so I hope it does you too.

Maybe I’ll have ago at a male version, “She didn’t like my flat pack skills…..” I’ll reveal all in January! 🙂

He didn’t like the casserole
And he didn’t like my cake,
He said my biscuits were too hard
Not like his mother used to make.
I didn’t perk the coffee right
He didn’t like the stew,
I didn’t mend his socks
The way his mother used to do.
I pondered for an answer
I was looking for a clue,
Then I turned around and
Smacked him one
Just like his mother used to do!
