In Every Job That Must Be Done…

Did you know studies have shown that positive thought really does work. Apparently looking on the bright side can up your energy levels, (I could seriously do with a bit of that!) boost your creativity and improve your health. As I’ve still got tonsillitis and have started a second course of antibiotics I wouldn’t grumble if I received any or even 🙂 all of those things.

I was seriously lacking in positive thoughts this morning though, its been a really busy week and today was ment to be a serious day of writing. I had allowed myself a rare day off, cleared the decks and the only thing on the schedule was delivering the children to school. Until Mr A said on his way out of the door, “don’t forget you need to pop into town this morning.”

It was one of those moments when you silently scream and watch whilst your beautifully clear day gets it coat on and waves as it walks out of the door. If I had a car popping into town would be a half an hour job, as it is I don’t drive so a pop to the local town usually takes up a whole entire morning.

Well…, I’ve had a fabulous morning. After I’d finished in town, the writing flowed in a local cafe, helped I’m sure by a lovely cup of tea and a piece of cake. On the way back I couldn’t resist purchasing this stunning Diosma Pink Fountain.

I’m now feeling super positive. Maybe Mary Poppins was right when she said, “In every job that must be done there is an element of fun,” I certainly had fun this morning. Although for the life of me I can’t find the fun in washing the pots or cleaning the bath.

If anyone finds it, let me know!

  1. What a shame you’ve had throat problems. I love positivity and I’m pleased your enforced trip to town was so enjoyable. Lovely photo.
