Did you all have a good Christmas? I hope Santa brought you all lots of goodies.
Santa was very kind this year and brought me a lovely new note-book (see picture) and a Google Nexus, hopefully today I’ll manage to have a little play with it, so far I’ve been far too busy playing Doggie Doo and Hungry Hungry Hippos!
I’ve got to say even though Christmas is over I’m looking forward to the new year, I love feeling like the whole year is ahead of me, I also look forward to writing my goals for the year, my new years day ritual is actually to sit and write my new goals down whilst watching the new years day concert, a tradition started off by my dad.
Before I go I thought I’d share the conversation I had last week when asking my youngest what had been for school dinner, I was treated to this fabulous reply;
“What did you have for dinner today, was it chicken?” I asked.
“No mummy it was hen,” came the reply.
“Yes, that’s right that’s called chicken, was it nice?
“No it wasn’t chicken, it was a naked hen, it had no feathers or anything.
I loved this description of the dinner, it conjures up so many images, I’m sure most of us had a naked turkey for Christmas!
I want to say a big thank you to everyone who commented on ‘This Time Last Year’ it was amazing finding out how much we’ve all achieved a big well done to all of us!
Do you have any New Year’s day rituals? I’d love to know.
My only New Year ritual is to walk around my garden to see if there are signs of spring.
Thats a nice idea, I think l’ll do that
Be odd to eat a turkey with feathers.
We watch Bowl Games and take down the Christmas decorations on New Year’s Day.
That made me laugh. We are eating naked chicken tonight!
